Mackenzie Wilmes

I am currently a student at William Jewell College studying the accelerated track bachelor of science nursing program. I graduated with a bachelor of arts in chemistry in December 2020 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. I am basic life support certified. I have been babysitting for over eight years, as well as volunteering at Micah’s Ministry in the children’s room and at the HIKE Reading Program. At Micah’s Ministry I served dinner and interacted with children of all ages in activities; At the HIKE Reading Program I assisted children from pre-kindergarden to middle school on their homework and tutored them in areas they were struggling. Once we were done with that, we would play outside to wind down before heading home for the night. I have babysat children aging from infancy to adolescence, as well as multiple children at once. While being a nanny for a family my task were to wake up the kids, get them ready for school, make breakfast, pack their lunches, and get them to school on time. I would also come occasionally at night and cook dinner, play games to wind down, bathe the children, and put them to bed. I love to participate in activities with kids and do whatever I can to help out!
