Hello! My name is Mackenzie and I am an ELA teacher at Blue Valley High School in Overland Park!
Care Experience:
Throughout high school and college I babysat full time for a family of 4 kids each summer and babysat for multiple other families sporadically. In high school and college, I worked at a group care home for developmentally disabled adults and also helped care for my elderly grandmother. Post-college I have nannied for one family.
Teaching Experience:
Throughout middle and high school, I helped coach youth dance and gymnastics, taught kids Sunday school each week at church, and helped tutor younger kids. I went to college for Secondary Education, English, and French and am a certified teacher working in the Blue Valley School District.
My Interests:
I enjoy learning so am up to learn about anything but my interests/training include: theatre, dance, music (I play trumpet and ukulele), tennis, travel, and languages.
