Hi, I’m a high-energy grandmother who adores kids of all ages. After I retired from my career I created an all-day autism center with a school-like setting for kids ages 6 to 10. For a while I was an in-home nanny for a newborn girl, later for a 7-year-old boy with severe autism. I helped raise my 5 grandsons who are all on the autism spectrum. I love hanging out with kids, love finding what makes each one happy, often using music – to soothe a cranky baby or to bring on some silly fun dancing. I am a lifelong pianist and budding ukulele player. I grew up in Overland Park but now live in downtown Kansas City.
